- By the end of the lesson, students can:
• Listen and read for specific information about a special day
• use the lexical items related to the topic ‘My new school’
• be acquainted with the new school environment.
• Talk about school objects and school activities.

II. Getting started
Presentation (Vocabulary)
- Write the title on the board “A special day’. Explain the meaning of ‘special’
- Ask students some questions about the special day:
1. - Tell me "A special day" in Vietnamese.
2. What is your special day?
3. Why is it special for you?
3.What makes you remember the most?
-Teachers ask Students to look the picture and guess what the picture might show or what the conversation might be about:
- What is Phong doing?
- Who are Vy and Duy?
-Why is it a special day for them? (Why are they so happy?)
- Teacher plays the recording twice
- Let the students read the dialogue and find the vocabulary in this dialogue. Write and explain the meaning of the vocabulary
-Students answer the questions by raising their hands

-Read the dialogue and write the vocabulary in notebook
