I/ OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, students can:
- Recycle the language from the previous sections and links with the topics.
- Practice doing some exercises to consolidate and apply what they have learnt in Unit 6.
1. Knowledge:
a. Grammar the past continuous and past simple tense
b. Lexical items : Vocab: items related to the topic ‘ Folk Tales’
c. Pronunciation: -Clusters:
2. Skills:
- Listening, Speaking, Reading,Writing and interactive skills
3. Attitude:
- Cooperation, respect, having right and friendly attitudes with friends, teachers in the new school
4. Quality and competence:
- Be confident and friendly with the new school environment
- Develope listening, speaking skills and cooperative interaction

- Look at the pictures in 20 seconds and try to remember as many words about characters in folk tales as possible.
- Take turns to write the words on the board.

- Then ask them to check their answers with the whole class.
- Practice saying the dialogue with their partners.

- Identify any difficulties and weak areas and provide further practice.

1. Read the fairy tale... (p66)
- Ask Ss to read the fairy tale Sleeping Beauty.
- Make notes about the main characters and the plot of the fairy tale.
2. Imagine you are character... (P67)
- Ask each student to imagine he/she is one of the characters and write two or more entries in the diary from the point of view of this character.
- Study the given example carefully.
- Use of the past simple and the past continuous in the example.
3. Share your entires... (P67)
- When Ss have finished their entries, ask them to display their work on the wall/board.
- T may choose some of the entries and ask Ss to read out and take questions from the class. Praise all attempts at creativity.
